Tesla Sales Return to Growth in Norway and Sweden
Tesla posted stronger registration numbers in two key Nordic markets in May, a possible sign that demand is stabilizing after a slow start to the year in Europe.
According to registration data, Tesla sold 2,346 vehicles in Norway during the month, up 213% from the same period a year earlier. In Sweden, registrations rose to 1,855 vehicles, a 53.7% increase year over year. The gains helped offset earlier weakness in the region and come as Tesla continues to adjust its lineup and pricing strategy across Europe.
The Model Y remained Tesla’s most important vehicle in both markets. In Norway, registrations were supported by the refreshed Model Y, while Sweden also showed improving momentum despite a challenging overall EV environment.
Tesla has faced uneven demand across Europe this year, with some investors watching closely for signs that price cuts, product updates, and new inventory are starting to improve sales trends. The Nordic markets are often viewed as an early indicator of EV demand because electric vehicle adoption is high and consumer awareness is strong.
